Oddly enough, this has long been a pet peeve of mine, for which I was planning to undertake debunking many such "laws" while vacationing at the beach this month. To be sure, there have been many such legislative oddities over the years, some Jimmy Choo Shoes Sale

lobby in Phoenix with his spurs on nor could he find it anywhere in the Phoenix database or within any of the Arizona Revised Statutes, the state code.In an effort to leave no stone or tumbleweed un turned, I also spoke this afternoon with Tory Trotta, Associate Dean for the Ross Blakley Law Library at Arizona State University Sandra Day O School of Law, who is searching the Arizona State Library History and Archive Division database to try and discover any reference to such a prohibition. She promised to get back to me in a day or two.As Jimmy Choo Black Ankle Boots to why such a law might exist, Cris Meyer opined that a spur is actually considered to be a weapon and anyone wearing spurs would be prohibited from, say, a public event, such as a concert. He did not cite the code section. This answer was edited by Peanutbred 657 days ago.Tory Trotta, Associate Dean for the Ross Blakley Law Library at Arizona State University Sandra Day O School of Law, DID, in fact call me back and she invited me to come to Phoenix and muck about to see what I could find in the Arizona State Library, the treasure trove of all things Arizona history, as she came up with bubkis. It can be definitively stated, however, that it was NEVER a STATE law, meaning part of the Arizona Statutes, written in 1912, or enacted thereafter when Arizona was admitted to the Union on February 14, 1912.But, I could not find such a law, either, within the Howell Code, the Arizona Territory first code, passed, in 1864; in its revision, completed in 1871; or, in its replacement, the Hoyt Code, passed in 1877. These laws served the Territory until statehood was achieved. As an aside, I will note in Chapter X, 5, of the Statute Laws of the Territory of Arizona of 1871, for the record: "An idiot shall not be found guilty or punished for any crime with which he or she may be charged." Since this law was "inherited" from the laws of the New Mexico Territory, taken from both New York and California codes, which, in turn, were "borrowed" from Virginia statutes, which were developed from British laws, I now better understand why so many are allowed to drive today or serve in Congress, or even Parliament. But, I digress.I could find that no such law existed in Phoenix, although it may have been an ordinance when the town was formed in 1865, or it may have been an ordinance passed by the Yavapai Board of County Commissioners, the county of which the town of Phoenix was once a part. It is currently located within Maricopa County. While the law may be lost to history, it may also be found by a physical search of old records, for which I will be happy to fly out there, at your expense. This picture is in the lobby of hotel blake in Chicago. of rather recent vintage. Supreme Court decision to overturn. Now, as for this obscure law, I did manage to speak with Phoenix City Clerk Cris Meyer, this morning, who had never heard of the ordinance which is said to actually state that no one may walk into a hotel Zanotti High Heels

´╗┐Which state in the US is it unlawful for a cowboy to walk passed a hotel lobby wearing his spurs

The state in question is Arizona where a cowboy cannot walk passed a hotel lobby wearing his spurs. This is one of weird laws which the state continues to carry on its books.I am still researching why this is unlawful and what the punishment is for this crime. I did find where it stated if a cowboy were caught walking in the lobby of an Arizona hotel, he would immediately be thrown out, but it made no reference to any other punishment. I will add more information if I can locate it.Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any explanations for this law nor its punishment. Therefore, I have concluded that the only punishment for this crime is the cowboy being thrown out of the hotel. As for the reason for this law, I can only surmise that it is for prevention of noise, elimination of unsanitary materials that might be attached to the spurs. thereby offending the ladies of the day, safety precaution in the event the cowboy got into a fight, or perhaps the spurs just do not measure up to the required attire in a hotel lobby. This answer Giuseppe Zanotti Shoes Black
